So yesterday was my 23rd birthday! I celebrated all weekend but on my actual birthday (which is on a Monday) I was in what I like to call “blissful retail solitude” in the hip neighborhood of Shimokita, where I picked up some birthday presents for myself. I have pictures for you to see what I picked up!
Separate post coming on my weekend and what I wore!
Hello WordPress World! This is my first official blog post since moving to Japan. I am so thankful that I had a safe flight and now that I’m settled into my dormitory (temporary housing for the next 8 days till I can move into my apartment), I want to share my first experiences in Nagoya, the city I will be living in for the next year! Here are some photos I took around the city including some inside the Nagoya City Science Museum. Enjoy!
Last night I modeled in my schools African Student Association’s Fall Ball! Was so happy Nkechi (my little sister) was able to come and so thankful to her for doing my hair. Check out the photos I took!
Had the opportunity to see Joey in concert at UMD! Opening acts TWRK and Henry Fong did their thing as well. Had a lot of fun with my little sister who came from DC to join the festivities 😁

Today, at the Art Gallery at my school (UMD), I attended an exhibition with work from Chip Lord, a video artist and wood cut designs from students of the University of Maryland, Corcoran College of Art and Design. I enjoyed the art and there was free wine so how could I complain!
