OOTD: Serenity

Yesterday I spent my day in natures palm, with my new friend Ruth! She took these beautiful pictures of me and I took pictures of the scenery around us. We explored the area around Sayama Lake, a stones throw away from Western Tokyo in neighboring Saitama Prefecture. I’m very excited to know such beautiful nature is so close to where I live! Details about my outfit and pictures below, everyone enjoy their week!

Latest Treasure Factory Haul

Today is Sunday, and the first day I’ve had completely to myself this whole month. I took today to de-stress and have a #SelfCareSunday, which included making a nice meal for myself, taking a nap, watching reruns of trash reality TV shows and of purging my closet of summer clothes I’m not in love with or that were impulse buys that I now regret. I took the discarded clothing over to Hard Off, a Japanese chain of thrift stores that sells used clothing for very cheap prices. I took in two pairs of shoes, three dresses, two bags, a jacket, a pair of shorts and a hat, and got a grand total of 590 yen. If you’re looking to get rich off of your old clothing, selling to thrift stores is definitely not the place to do it and I learned that today. I was a little shocked at first at how little money I received but overall it felt good to get rid of things that don’t bring me joy by wearing them. After the purge, I went over to Treasure Factory, another thrift store nearby my apartment. It has a way better selection and I found some treasures that I’m absolutely in love with! Check them out below!

Saw the sleeves on this shirt from across the store and ran.

The LBD. I have five now, including this one. This particular frock is See by Chloe and 100% silk πŸ™‚

I envision this vintage purse paired with a clean white shirt tucked into high waist jeans and some tortoise shell sunglasses.
Snagged this brand new Opening Ceremony tee for just a third of the retail price!

APC Long sleeve that gives a slight nautical feel.

My birthday weekend!

So Monday was my actual birthday but I celebrated on the weekend with some close family friends! Saturday I went to dinner with one of my good friends I’ve made in tokyo so far, Sho. Afterwards we went bar hopping, where I proceeded to turn up off of life. I swear I was sober as a button and the only thing in that glass was ginger ale. I swore off drinking (except for a birthday glass of wine) because of the excess of alcohol I consumed in Thailand. This weekend I’m going to start my own original detox to get rid of the toxins I’ve acquired this month through poor food choices and drinking too much. Anyway I had a nice sober time at one of my favorite bars, Gaspanic. This place has a club feel and you can dance and not feel awkward, unlike most bars in Tokyo. I tried to create a #lewk but the lighting doesn’t do my outfit justice, in my opinion.
On Sunday I celebrated with my Japanese family, the Okamotos. They are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met and they always welcome me into their home with open arms. They are friends of my father and since moving to Tokyo, they’ve made my transition to life here so much more comfortable. They took me to a nice Italian restaurant, where we celebrated with an abundance of pizza, pasta, chicken, beef and much more. I had a great time and am so thankful to them for their lovely gifts and thoughtfulness!

Check out some pictures from my amazing weekend below!

Ciao! πŸŽ‚πŸΉ

Birthday Goodies Haul

So yesterday was my 23rd birthday! I celebrated all weekend but on my actual birthday (which is on a Monday) I was in what I like to call “blissful retail solitude” in the hip neighborhood of Shimokita, where I picked up some birthday presents for myself. I have pictures for you to see what I picked up!

The perfect white shirt. The folded picture doesn’t do it justice. Can’t wait to reveal this Issey Miyake masterpiece in an OOTD post coming at ya soon πŸ‘€
I saw this in a vintage store in Shimokita and didn’t think twice. This was meant to be mine and I’m saving it to wear in the fall πŸ‘»
This sterling silver piece was so gorgeous I had to purchase it even though I usually don’t like spending more than Β₯500 on a piece of jewelry. Maybe this will inspire me to be a rich bitch and invest in more expensive jewelry!
My first YSL purchase! *insert Young Thug ad lib* this vintage clutch will go really well with an all white outfit and cost only Β₯5000!

OOTD: Pretty in PinkΒ

Today was a good day. Good outfit, good movie, good company, good laughs, everything was just peachy πŸ‘! I’ve been dying to wear this shirt I got on sale at a Zara in Shibuya, but it was thoroughly annoying when the top ruffle kept blowing in the wind and exposing my goodies to the streets of Shinjuku. I had some help from Erwan to keep my shirt down and he took some great pics of me. Check them out below!

PS: I looove wearing pink now, I never knew how good I could look in it! Now on the lookout for different shades πŸŽ€.

Hello WordPress world and welcome to my first look book! I’m so excited about this and will definitely be doing more in the future. I styled a few looks for anyone who is thinking about purchasing thigh high boots but doesn’t know how to wear them with what’s already in their closet. From the looks I’ve created you will see you don’t need to re-do your whole wardrobe in order to rock this latest fashion statement!

My first look is a suede miniskirt with a simple long sleeve T. Piece details below along with photos!

Skirt: H&M, Top: Zara, Necklace: F21

My second look is a plaid A-line skirt with wool turtleneck and leather jacket. This look is perfect for cold winter afternoons where style is still a priority.

My third look is a simple A-line mini-dress with black tuxedo blazer. It’s a great date night option and with an edgy clutch or lipstick you’ll be sure to wow your date and most importantly yourself!

Lastly an outfit with a little spunk. I paired a medium wash jean with a vintage button down shirt and a leopard coat. A great outfit that can easily transition from day to night activities!

And there you have it! If you have any questions on any of the looks I presented or where you can find the boots I purchased don’t hesitate to leave a comment!
