Jinja is the Japanese word for shrine. Today for the first time I visited the Minamisawa Hikawa Shrine, a five minute walk from my apartment building. It had a serene and peaceful feeling and shrines are fast becoming my favorite places to take pictures. It was also such a beautiful experience to see some of the senior citizens in the community coming to the shrine to pray and pay their respects to their ancestors. I went with my friend Ruth and she was able to get some great shots of me! Check them out below!

P.S. – I will be getting my own domain very very very soon! I think its time to expand my blog and brand and I’ll definitely enjoy playing with different layouts 🙂
I’ve been itching to do this DIY for a while and a few days ago I said f*** it, it’s time! And I rushed over to Joann’s to buy fabric glue and faux fur. Luckily when I got there I grabbed the last black fur boa that was available and then I knew the fabric gods were looking out for me. Here is the finished product below. I might add the leftover fur I have to the ankle straps but I’m not sure yet we’ll see 😎
– a pair of single strap heels (preferably a cheap pair you don’t mind messing up)
– Fabric glue
– Fur boa (mix it up, there are so many colors at Joann’s!)
I was approached by the Black Tux, a tuxedo rental company, to create the perfect date night outfit! I immediately thought to put together a suit in recognition of National Tux Day, which was on October 10th. I styled it with a pair of men’s inspired dress shoes and a sparkly halter neck top. I think it’s the perfect blend of men’s and women’s fashion that is a great alternative to the standard LBD for a night out!
A couple of days ago, I went to brunch with my girls and had an amazing time (bottomless mimosas 😜!). The place we went to is called Front Page located on New Hampshire Ave, and I’ll be doing a review of it in the near future. For now this is a rundown of what I wore for the outing, enjoy!
my obsession with Topshop has reached new heights. Spotted these pale pink beauties in Nordstrom and was instantly in love. The price tag wasn’t too bad (90 USD) but I’m hesitant to spend that much on shoes, especially if they aren’t versatile. Hopefully I can find them online for a better price (fingers crossed)!
