New Kicks

It’s always a good day when a gal like me gets some new gear and a couple of weekends ago I scored some new shoes while out shopping in Shibuya! The first pair is a pair of medium length (is there an actual term for these?) black boots from Zara. They were 9000 yen which is around 80 USD. They’re now the highest heel shoe I own in Japan and I hope to wear them sometime this fall (maybe out clubbing or to a fashion event!). The second pair I bought were the “Forrest Gump” Vintage Nike Cortez sneaker. In most color ways, I wouldn’t look twice at this shoe but the clean red, white and blue combination was irresistible to me. I was a little salty that all the other colors cost 8000 yen and this particular color way cost 2000 yen more but I bit the bullet and bought them. These will be the last shoes I buy for a while because of my trip to Bali! It’ll be my first time in Indonesia and I have to save some money to truly enjoy myself. I’ll be going for my Christmas vacation so in the meantime I’ll try to stay out of the thrift store πŸ™‚ Check out my new purchases below!

Birthday Goodies Haul

So yesterday was my 23rd birthday! I celebrated all weekend but on my actual birthday (which is on a Monday) I was in what I like to call “blissful retail solitude” in the hip neighborhood of Shimokita, where I picked up some birthday presents for myself. I have pictures for you to see what I picked up!

The perfect white shirt. The folded picture doesn’t do it justice. Can’t wait to reveal this Issey Miyake masterpiece in an OOTD post coming at ya soon πŸ‘€
I saw this in a vintage store in Shimokita and didn’t think twice. This was meant to be mine and I’m saving it to wear in the fall πŸ‘»
This sterling silver piece was so gorgeous I had to purchase it even though I usually don’t like spending more than Β₯500 on a piece of jewelry. Maybe this will inspire me to be a rich bitch and invest in more expensive jewelry!
My first YSL purchase! *insert Young Thug ad lib* this vintage clutch will go really well with an all white outfit and cost only Β₯5000!

Gorgeous see through vintage shirt perfect for this hot Japanese sun β˜€οΈ

Separate post coming on my weekend and what I wore!

ASOS Haul

ASOS is one of the online stores I know that ships to Japan which is why I loyally shop with them and have over the years. I recently picked up some shoes and clothes and I want to share with everyone! Let’s commence,

These baby blue croc skin mules are perfect for summer and will definitely accompany me on my trip to Phuket πŸ’…πŸΎ
Cowboy boots, my first love when it comes to shoes. I have a few pairs at home in the U.S. but none in Tokyo so I had to re-up.
Simple outfit idea to wear with cowboy boots 😁
Idk what shoes to wear with this yet, but I’ll figure it out eventually. I really like asymmetrical dresses and this one was on sale for an amazing price so I had to cop!
Needs ironing πŸ˜…
This princess fairy shirt gives me the wings I’ve always wanted πŸ¦‹
I bought a pair of Krystal London Swarovski crystal earrings the last time I ordered from ASOS and I loved them so I got another pair, this time with pink stones 😍
On body (face)

That’s all for now, I hope to have another post tomorrow about my OOTD. Till then, Ciao 🍾😘

My Favorites: Bags

Hello everyone! I’m back with a post about my favorite new hand bags, totes and purses that I’ve acquired while in Fashionworld, also known as Japan.

This Opening Ceremony tote is truly the bag of my dreams. I have wanted an OC tote for a while, but the image in my head of the bag I would eventually acquire was the basci black tote with the white lettering. This colorful floral piece is perfect for spring and I got it just in time for Hanami season!

Zara Haul

A while ago I picked up some new pieces from Zara I though I’d share with you guys! In total I spent 95 dollars, walking away with 5 items, which is really good for a trip to the pricey (in my opinion) retailer. Check out my pickups below!

Beaded top: 7.99, black ash jeans: 49.90
The beaded crop top was a sale item! It didn’t have a tag so when I went to check out I was expecting a higher price but was pleasantly surprised. The jeans are a staple need for my closet considering my favorite black H&M jeans ripped a couple of months ago and I’ve been looking for a replacement 😌.

Jeans: Zara

Shoes: DIY

Choker: Forever 21

Top: Zara

Leather Jacket: H&M

Red white and blue patterned top: 15.90

I bought this shirt specifically to use with this vintage Hilfiger skirt I got from the thrift store. I think the two pieces compliment each other. What are your thoughts?

Shirt: Zara

Skirt: Tommy Hilfiger

Boots: Aldo

Basic black tee: 7.90, striped skirt: 7.99

The skirt was only 8 bucks so I couldn’t resist! It looks great with button downs and really wanna pair it with my thigh highs. The black t shirt was another staple buy, since I don’t have a decent black T in my wardrobe (shocking I know, considering black is my favorite color to wear)

Topshop Haul

Being the smart shopper I am, I hit one of my favorite brands while they were having an online sale, that brand being Topshop. I scoured the trenches for anything I needed in my closet and anything that was dirt cheap. I ended up with two pieces one that fit each of those descriptions. The first is a grid patterned boyfriend blazer, which will be a nice addition to my business casual repertoire and can also be used for night life outfits (in the colder months like November). The second is a bright highlighter yellow crop which was only $4 so I said why the hell not. I wore it yesterday to the bar with cut offs and my black creepers and I thought it was a pretty cute outfit for that type of environment. Check out my goodies below and enjoy!
