Birthday Goodies Haul

So yesterday was my 23rd birthday! I celebrated all weekend but on my actual birthday (which is on a Monday) I was in what I like to call “blissful retail solitude” in the hip neighborhood of Shimokita, where I picked up some birthday presents for myself. I have pictures for you to see what I picked up!

The perfect white shirt. The folded picture doesn’t do it justice. Can’t wait to reveal this Issey Miyake masterpiece in an OOTD post coming at ya soon 👀
I saw this in a vintage store in Shimokita and didn’t think twice. This was meant to be mine and I’m saving it to wear in the fall 👻
This sterling silver piece was so gorgeous I had to purchase it even though I usually don’t like spending more than ¥500 on a piece of jewelry. Maybe this will inspire me to be a rich bitch and invest in more expensive jewelry!
My first YSL purchase! *insert Young Thug ad lib* this vintage clutch will go really well with an all white outfit and cost only ¥5000!

Gorgeous see through vintage shirt perfect for this hot Japanese sun ☀️

Separate post coming on my weekend and what I wore!

OOTD: Pretty in Pink

Today was a good day. Good outfit, good movie, good company, good laughs, everything was just peachy 🍑! I’ve been dying to wear this shirt I got on sale at a Zara in Shibuya, but it was thoroughly annoying when the top ruffle kept blowing in the wind and exposing my goodies to the streets of Shinjuku. I had some help from Erwan to keep my shirt down and he took some great pics of me. Check them out below!

PS: I looove wearing pink now, I never knew how good I could look in it! Now on the lookout for different shades 🎀.

Wearing:

Top: Zara

Skirt: thrift

Boots: ASOS

Earrings: ASOS

Purse: Burberry

Night Aquarium

Last Sunday I attended the annual Night Aquarium held in Nihonbashi. It was a great experience to see a cross between art and marine life and I made sure to take lots of pictures! This event runs through September I believe with some special nights featuring a DJ and drink bar (I went on a Sunday and there was no DJ unfortunately ☹️). Check out the pictures I took below!

OOTD: Marigold

Hey there everyone, finally time for a new ootd post! Yesterday, I attended the Night Aquarium, an event where art, water and fish all come together to create beautiful artfully designed aquariums. I will post more about the event later but this is what I wore:

Dress: Trefac (only ¥300 😭)

Cowboy boots: ASOS

Purse: Burberry

Earrings: H&M

I just bought this purse today for ¥500! I 💛 Burberry.
My friend Sho took these pictures and he loves to shoot me when my eyes are closed 🙃🙃
Always enjoy your life. Always.

Till next time! ☕️

My new Tokyo apartment!

So hey everyone! I finally moved to Tokyo yayyyy! I’ve been here for two weeks and I’ve spent this time setting up my apartment and getting accustomed to the neighborhood. After all of the cardboard, plastic wrap and unpacked bags, I finally have everything the way I want it. Check out my crib in the pics below!

Loving this clothing rack! It’s always been my dream to have one in my apartment. It was bought as a gift by my Japanese mom, Noriko. It’s the perfect way for me to plan my outfits and see different shapes and patterns come together.
My T.V. area. Peep the BAPE towel! There was a JLo video playing in this picture lol

My casual clothes. I tried to organize everything by color. Excited for fall so I can wear my crazy button downs.
This is my computer and book storage area. Cute, ain’t it? Let’s hope it will encourage me to study Japanese harder 😂
Another cork board with some messages from my students 🌸✨
bed.
Bathroom, not fancy but it gets the job done.
Look at my snacks!
My genkan. It’s customary in japan to remove your shoes here before entering a home.
Shoe closet!

See ya soon, I’ll be posting about some new gear I’ve bought since moving. Ciao ☕️

Collaboration: Shopspring.com x Plaitwoman

Hello all! Here is a special outfit of the day post, a collab with shopspring.com a retail hub for some of the most sought after brands and trendiest labels. The theme was spring, which usually means bright colors, maxi skirts and sandals, but knowing me, I would find a way to break the mold of what a typical spring outfit looks like. For this fit, I choose to go all black and create a breathable yet chic outfit. I started with a mock neck fitted dress from American Apparel, which I layered with  a FILA mesh overshirt. I finished it off with my PLAY by Comme des Garcons Converse sneakers and Ray-Ban sunglasses. Living proof that you can wear black in the summer time and still stay cool. Check out https://www.shopspring.com/ for great deals on some of the hottest labels!

Dress: American Apparel
